Choose a Creative Commons License for Your OER

Share Your Canvas-based OER to the Canvas Commons

1. Assign a Creative Commons open license to your course

This can be done from the Canvas course "Settings".

2. Share your Canvas course to the Canvas Commons with the Creative Commons License you have selected

This is also done from the Canvas course "Settings".

3. Set sharing permissions to "Public"; confirm the CC license by which your OER is being shared for use; enter brief description; and submit

4. Upload your course to the Commons & generate a shareable URL
