De-Stress Week

Take A Break and De-Stress!

Dear Students & Staff,

Have you ever felt more stressed when preparing for midterms? Did you know that cramming adds to unnecessary anxiety that can keep you from retaining information, especially when it is time to write your essay or take your exam. Taking the necessary breaks to relax one's mind is beneficial in retaining what was studied. All members of our campus community are invited: take a break with the Learning Commons (Library and the Learning Center) and Active Minds in de-stressing events, starting October 23rd. Pick up goodie bags on October 23rd in Building 6; participate in creating arts, crafts, and Lego designs throughout the week; play games; and relax with the Peninsula Humane Society's therapy dogs on Friday, October 27th, at 1:00 PM.

Please contact Counselor Perry Chen at chenp@smccd.edu or Librarian Pia Walawalkar at walawalkars@smccd.edu if you have further questions.
