  • National Center for Education Statistics
    The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education.

  • Report Card on American Education
    comprehensive overview of educational achievement levels (performance and gains for low-income students) for the 50 states and the District of Columbia (see full report for complete methodology). The Report Card details what education policies states currently have in place and provides a roadmap for legislators to follow to bring about educational excellence in their state.

  • Condition of Education
    THe Condition of Education (COE) is a congressionally mandated annual report that summarizes important developments and trends in education using the latest available statistics

  • Education Finance Statistics Center (EDFIN)
    Finance information on public elementary/secondary education, plus graphs and charts depicting national and state comparison data. From the NCES.

  • Chronicle of Higher Education Almanac
    A wide range of data on American higher education, including: college enrollment trends, demographics, faculty pay, tuition and fees, and much more.

  • Kids Count Data Center
    Provides a detailed picture of how children are faring in the United States. In addition to ranking states on overall child well-being, the Data Book provides state rankings for four domains: Economic Well-Being, Education, Health, and Family and Community.

    The World Bank's database of education statistics provides comprehensive data and analysis source for key topics in education.

  • The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Education Database
    Key education indicators includes enrollment, graduation rates, staffing, and educational expenditures of selected countries.

  • UNESCO Institute for Statistics: education data
    From pre-primary school enrolment to tertiary graduation rates, covering more than 200 countries and territories, the UIS database covers all education levels and addresses key policy issues such as gender parity, teachers and financing.
