Structure your search

OneSearch

OneSearch (To log into our databases off-campus you'll need to use your email or Canvas login.)
Search most of Skyline Library's article databases and book catalog to find a wide range of articles from academic journals, popular magazines, newspapers and reference sources, e-books & other documents, plus print books available in the library.

- Type an OR between synonymous or related words for the same concept. 

For example:

LatinX OR Hispanic


- Use quote marks (“ ”) around search phrases (multiple words that should be searched together), e.g. “human rights" "affirmative action"

For example:

"Displaced persons"

And you can combined search strategies:

OneSearch Search Steps 

1. On our main website enter your search into the main search box click the search button or hit enter.
 
 
 
 
2. A window/tab will open with search results. Limit your search results on the left side of the screen.  You can limit your search specific resource types, dates and other options.
 
3.  To access articles or ebooks you'll need to sign in, the link to sign-in is in the upper right corner.  Use the same login information you use to get into canvas. 
 
4.  To find the full text of an article or ebook or the location of a book, click on the title you're interested and window with more information will pop up.  Under "view it online" click one of the databases listed to access the full text of the article or ebook.  To find a book in print write down the call number and stop by the library help desk and we will show you where to find it.  For information about how to cite the article click "citation".
